Ukrainian officials have reported real results following Elon Musk's recent restrictions on the use of Starlink satellites by Russian forces. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov hailed Musk as a true champion of freedom, acknowledging the positive impact of these measures on Ukraine's defense against drone attacks.

The concerns about Russian drones equipped with Starlink technology had been raised following deadly strikes, including an assault on a moving passenger train that resulted in casualties.

Musk confirmed the restrictions, stating on social media that the steps taken to limit unauthorized use of Starlink by Russia appeared effective. Furthermore, SpaceX has introduced a speed limit on Starlink terminals moving over Ukraine, thereby hampering the drones' operational capabilities.

Fedorov also announced plans for a white list of approved Starlink terminals, which will further regulate internet access and prevent unregistered terminals from operating.

The ongoing conflict has necessitated swift technological adaptations, with Fedorov emphasizing Ukraine's strategy to enhance collaboration with tech companies to bolster its defense system. This initiative signifies a crucial intersection of technology and warfare amid the protracted conflict.
