In a lengthy interview about his health, US President Donald Trump revealed that he takes more aspirin than doctors often recommend and uses makeup to cover bruising on his hands. At 79, Trump, who is the oldest president inaugurated in US history, addressed concerns regarding his age and overall health, stating he has no immediate plans to change his routines despite signs of ageing.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Trump explained he underwent a CT scan in October but mistakenly told reporters he had a more comprehensive MRI scan instead. Nevertheless, he confidently claimed, My health is perfect, and expressed irritation about the public's ongoing debates regarding his well-being.

Despite Trump’s assertion, there have been moments where he appeared to fall asleep during meetings, raising eyebrows about his fitness for office. Regarding his daily health habits, he stated that he has taken larger than recommended doses of aspirin for the past 25 years, which he believes helps thin his blood, despite the side effect of bruising.

It's just that I don't want thick blood pouring through my heart, he noted. He takes 325mg daily, opting against the common 81mg dose suggested by medical professionals. He attributed his lack of exercise to finding it 'boring' and highlighted his preference for golf over structured fitness routines.

Trump's claims were met with skepticism; however, his doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, affirmed in a statement that Trump is in 'exceptional health' and fit to serve as Commander in Chief. As the discourse surrounding his fitness continues, Trump attempts to navigate the challenges that come with his age while maintaining his public persona.
