A 39‑year‑old Ukrainian woman, Anastasiia Berezovska, believed to have placed a parcel bomb in Monaco that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian multimillionaire, has been found dead in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian security service (SBU) announced that the body, located with gunshot wounds to the head, had been discovered after a cross‑border manhunt was launched following the bombing at the entrance hall of a Monaco apartment building on 29 June.
Authorities say two men, including a current officer in Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, have been detained on suspicion of her murder.
The incident raises concerns about security cooperation and the need for stronger investigative protocols in high‑risk cases involving international terrorism.
Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
