US President Donald Trump has said he is holding off a military attack on Iran planned for Tuesday at the request of Gulf states as serious negotiations are now taking place.

In a post on Truth Social, he said he had been asked to do so by the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

He stated that he had been informed a deal would be made that is very acceptable to the US, adding there would be NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN!

However, he warned that the US would be ready to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment's notice if no acceptable deal is reached.

A senior Iranian military commander cautioned the US not to make strategic mistakes and miscalculations again.

This announcement coincides with a noticeable drop in Trump's approval ratings and increasing public discontent regarding the war, with 64% of voters finding the decision to go to war with Iran erroneous. Only 37% approve of his presidency as domestic frustrations rise over various issues.

Despite a ceasefire in place intended to ease hostilities, both sides remain on high alert. Iran retains a considerable arsenal of drones and missiles capable of significant retaliation against Gulf nations and U.S. interests.
