At least three Palestinian women have been killed and eight more injured after missile debris hit a beauty salon in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS reported that shrapnel struck the salon in Beit Awwa, located near Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa indicated that fragments landed on a metal caravan serving as a salon, along with various other areas in the West Bank.

Additionally, a Thai worker was confirmed dead due to shrapnel hitting a farming community in Israel, as reported by Israeli medics.

The missile debris incident occurred on Wednesday night shortly after the Israeli military stated that it was engaged in efforts to intercept an Iranian missile attack.

Wafa identified those deceased from the salon strike as Mais Ghazi Masalmeh, 17, Sahira Rizq Masalmeh, 50, and Amal Sobhi Abdel Karim Matawa' Masalmeh, 36.

The PRCS reported that emergency response teams, including at least five ambulances, rushed to the scene, discovering numerous casualties and injuries.

The bodies of the three women were taken to a local hospital along with other victims who sustained critical and moderate wounds.

Initially, the PRCS had reported four fatalities from the incident before correcting the toll to three.

Challenges in accessing the site were noted, with PRCS citing difficulties due to iron gate closures that notably impacted rescue timing.

In Israel, the Thai worker's death occurred in Moshav Adanim, approximately 12 miles (20km) northeast of Tel Aviv, with metal shrapnel scattered across the area.

The Israeli military has not yet made a public comment regarding the incidents.
