From Dubai to Dublin: The Unfolding Legal Battle of Daniel Kinahan

Suspected cartel leader Daniel Kinahan has appeared before a special non‑jury court in Dublin after an extradition treaty between Ireland and the UAE brought his 10 years of exile in Dubai to an abrupt end.

The 49‑year‑old faces charges for directing the activities of a criminal organization between 18 October 2015 and 6 April 2017. He has repeatedly denied all accusations.

The case sheds light on a billion‑dollar network allegedly linked to drug trafficking, money laundering and violent crime across Europe and the Middle East.
