A woman who claims she was drugged and raped by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has spoken publicly for the first time to BBC Newsnight about her ordeal.

The woman, who spoke anonymously and is referred to as Nicky, detailed her troubling encounters with Epstein, beginning with an introduction at age 19 while she was working as a model. She shared that after providing a massage at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion, she was given a drink that resulted in her blacking out and awakening with signs of having been assaulted.

Encouraged by other survivors sharing their narratives, Nicky is urging the U.S. Department of Justice to release all remaining files on Epstein, advocating for transparency and justice for those affected.

In her interview, she courageously recounted the initial massage that escalated into sexual advances, revealing how Epstein pressured her and ultimately led to her being incapacitated. I have done various psychotherapies to try to remember... But I can logically make a variety of assumptions that I think would be very accurate, she said, echoing the sentiments of many survivors grappling with the lasting impact of their trauma.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Nicky expressed her frustrations about the public portrayal of Epstein and the systemic failings that allow such cases to remain partially obscured. Having it constantly brought up at every turn... it doesn't allow us to heal, she lamented, emphasizing the need for advocacy on behalf of survivors.
