LELAND, Miss. — In the aftermath of a devastating mass shooting that left six dead during a community celebration in Leland, Mississippi, local authorities and community leaders are appealing for the public's aid in identifying individuals connected to the tragedy.

A scheduled press conference at City Hall will see local police and personnel from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the FBI, and other agencies providing updates in their search for suspects. Leland Mayor John Lee stated, “We’re still trying to gather information on possible suspects out there,” emphasizing the gravity of the ongoing situation.

Previously, several suspects had been charged with capital murder following the shooting that also injured over a dozen attendees during a homecoming weekend event that historically brings the community together.
