Former President Joe Biden is undergoing a new phase in his treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer that was diagnosed after he left office. As confirmed by a spokesperson, Biden is currently receiving radiation therapy alongside hormone treatment.

The 82-year-old Democrat exited the presidency in January after stepping back from a reelection campaign six months prior, amid increasing concerns regarding his age and health.

In May, it was publicly announced that Biden's cancer diagnosis included metastasis to his bones, with symptoms prompting further medical investigation.

Prostate cancers are classified on a Gleason scale, and Biden's diagnosis included a score of 9, indicating a very aggressive form of cancer. Additionally, last month he underwent surgery to remove skin cancer lesions from his forehead. This ongoing battle highlights the personal health challenges faced by political leaders in the public eye.
