The criticism follows a Telegraph report alleging a former UEFA liaison was granted a severance package in 2024 during Infantino’s tenure as UEFA’s general secretary.
Infantino and FIFA’s spokesperson have denied the claims, calling them “categorically untrue.” While the report adds fuel to a broader debate about transparency, the crestfallen FFA has requested that the president resign, a call echoed by Norwegian football officials.
