Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has made a poignant offer to former U.S. President Donald Trump, inviting him to spend a week in his home in Ukraine amidst the escalating crisis caused by the ongoing conflict. In a recent interview, Usyk urged Trump to witness the harsh realities of life in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in 2022, stating, "I advise American President Donald Trump to come to Ukraine and live in my house for one week."

Usyk's invitation follows Trump's pledge during his previous presidential campaign to resolve the war "within 24 hours" should he win a second term; however, Trump's criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has raised eyebrows. Usyk emphasized that experiencing a week in Ukraine would illuminate the nightly bombings and warfare that currently plague his homeland: "Every night, there are bombs and flights above my house. It's enough."
