Tiger Woods is to change his plea in court five months after being arrested for driving under the influence in a Florida rollover crash.
The hearing is set for Wednesday morning in Martin County, where Woods was arrested following a March incident that flipped his vehicle after it clipped a truck. He passed a breath‑alcohol test but declined to provide a urinalysis for other substances.
Woods, 50, had previously pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI charges and to refusing drug testing. He says he is stepping away to seek treatment and focus on his health, announcing a period of recovery on social media.
Police later found two white pills in his pocket – identified as hydrocodone, an opioid commonly prescribed for pain. Officers suspected that an unknown substance had impaired his normal faculties, prompting the arrest.
No injuries were reported in the crash, although Woods had to exit his vehicle through the passenger door. The incident marks his second arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.
