In brief
A 17-year-old male accuser alleges he was drugged and raped by Combs at a New York nightclub, contributing to a growing number of lawsuits against the prominent rapper.
New allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs have surfaced, as a man comes forward claiming that he was sexually assaulted by the rapper in a New York nightclub in 2012. According to a court filing, the plaintiff, referred to only as John Doe, was just 17 years old at the time and reportedly paid a bouncer to gain entry to the club, where he was subsequently invited to Combs’ private table. The accuser asserts that he was given multiple shots of vodka, which led him to feel increasingly disoriented and hazy. He describes a loss of consciousness and control over his body after consuming the drinks. The allegations continue with the claim that he was taken to a back room of the SoHo club, where drug use and escort activities were occurring.Feeling "defenceless," the plaintiff alleges he was raped in that back room. Combs has consistently denied all accusations against him in various civil lawsuits and previously described similar allegations as "sickening." In a response to the latest claims, Combs' legal team stated, “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”The new claims emerge as fellow rapper Kanye West urged President Donald Trump on social media to grant a pardon to Combs ahead of his upcoming trial—prompting a significant amount of media attention. West's posts included a direct appeal to the president to "FREE PUFF."Combs is currently entangled in over 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct and has been held in a New York jail awaiting trial on more serious federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. As further developments unfold, the allegations continue to shine a spotlight on issues of sexual violence and accountability within the music industry.
