Authorities have disclosed shocking details surrounding the bondi beach attack, which occurred during a Jewish festival on December 14. New documents reveal that the alleged gunmen threw four devices, inclusief a 'tennis ball bomb', at the onset of their brutal assault.

Naveed Akram, 24, has been charged with 15 counts of murder, and he was critically injured during a confrontation with police. His father, Sajid Akram, allegedly died in the shootout that followed the attack.

Investigators found video content recorded by the duo, announcing their extreme motivation and commitment to certain ideologies linked to the Islamic State.

Police allege that the attack was meticulously planned over several months, evidenced by the meticulous recording of weapons training and detailed planning sessions documented in videos available on Naveed’s phone.

Evidence from CCTV footage also indicates that the Akrams conducted reconnaissance around Bondi Beach two days prior and arrived at the site armed with firearms, homemade explosives, and extremist propaganda material, including Islamic State flags.

Despite the tragic nature of the event, authorities hope the sharing of this information will support ongoing investigations and bolster community safety strategies against potential threats.
