Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff survived a shooting in Mumbai and was not hurt, police say.
On Sunday evening the 36‑year‑old was in a car moving past a football club in Juhu when gunmen opened fire. Video footage showed at least two shooters firing multiple rounds at close range at the front passenger seat while the vehicle drifted past a cheering crowd.
Two people were injured in the attack, including Shroff’s driver, authorities report. The actor and his mother were left shaken, according to a visit by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde.
The incident adds to a worrying list of attacks on high‑profile figures across India in recent years, including the shooting of actor Salman Khan and the death of politician Baba Siddique. “These attempts to intimidate people will not be tolerated,” Shinde said.
Shroff, who first appeared on screen in 2014 with “Heropanti,” is also a football enthusiast and plays for Mumbai FC.
