**Tensions Escalate as Trump Approves Plans for Potential Military Action Against Iran**

**Amid rising military tensions, President Trump considers strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities, escalating the geopolitical crisis.**

**In light of escalating tensions, President Trump has approved attack plans focused on Iran’s underground nuclear site but has yet to make a decisive move. As the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran intensifies, concerns grow regarding regional stability and civilian safety.**

In a development that has heightened fears of conflict in the Middle East, President Donald Trump has reportedly approved military plans to strike Iran, centering on the Fordo underground uranium enrichment facility. However, a final decision on initiating these strikes has not yet been made, according to information from CBS News. The news, first disclosed by the Wall Street Journal, comes as tensions continue to mount following recent military actions between Israel and Iran.

On Wednesday, Trump expressed frustration over Iran's refusal to comply with his demands for unconditional surrender, stating, "I may do it, I may not do it," when questioned about potential U.S. involvement. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei firmly rejected Trump’s ultimatum, claiming that "the Iranian nation will not surrender," which further complicates diplomatic efforts.

The situation intensified with military exchanges; Israel has conducted airstrikes targeting Iran's missile and nuclear facilities, which have reportedly resulted in high civilian casualties according to activist groups. Iran responded with missile strikes aimed at Israel, leading to additional losses. As the stakes rise, Trump's defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, assured a Senate committee that the Pentagon stands ready to follow through on any orders issued by Trump, which adds to the precarious military posture in the region.

The Pentagon has indicated that an increased American military presence is becoming evident with the deployment of aircraft and a carrier strike group led by the USS Nimitz. Simultaneously, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is poised to hold discussions with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy in Washington, focusing on the implications of the ongoing conflict.

In anticipation of escalating hostilities, the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem issued an evacuation plan for American citizens, although specifics regarding the number seeking evacuation remain unclear. Human Rights Activists, a Washington-based organization, reported high civilian casualties from the ongoing Israeli strikes, complicating the humanitarian picture further.

As this turbulent geopolitical landscape unfolds, both regional and global stakeholders are apprehensive about the consequences of military confrontation and its impact on civilian populations caught in the crossfire.
