In an unprecedented event, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un solemnly honored the troops lost in the Ukraine war during a state television broadcast. The occasion highlighted his efforts to strengthen military ties with Russia amidst ongoing conflict. Accompanied by his teenage daughter, Kim Ju-ae, and a Russian delegation, Kim attended a ceremony that celebrated the first anniversary of a mutual defense and cooperation treaty with President Vladimir Putin.

The event not only showcased North Korean performances but also served as a platform for Kim to reveal the extent of his country's involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
