**Haribo Takes Precautionary Measures Following Cannabis Contamination in Netherlands Sweets**

Haribo has announced a recall of its Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ candy bags in the Netherlands following reports of cannabis contamination. A concerning incident came to light when multiple individuals, including members of a single family, reported feeling unwell after consuming a 1kg pack of the sweets. Dizziness was specifically noted as a symptom among those affected.

The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) has confirmed that samples from the affected candy revealed the presence of cannabis. In response to the contamination reports, Haribo is cooperating with local authorities to determine how the cannabis ended up in their products. Although only three contaminated packs have been identified, the company has opted to recall its entire stock as a precautionary measure.

The recalled bags bear a best-before date of January 2026, and the NVWA has urged consumers to refrain from consuming these particular sweets due to potential health risks. The investigation is ongoing, and it remains uncertain whether the sweets in question were authentic Haribo products or counterfeit.
