In a decisive move, South Africa's governing party, the African National Congress (ANC), has confirmed the finality of its decision to expel former President Jacob Zuma. This conclusion came after Zuma's attempts to appeal the expulsion and retain his membership within the party.

The ANC severed ties with Zuma in July, branding him a "traitor" after he established and campaigned for a new political entity, attempting to undermine the ANC's long-standing political dominance.
