In a landmark decision on May 23, 2025, a Paris court found eight individuals guilty in a high-profile case related to the audacious robbery of Kim Kardashian in 2016. The incident occurred during Paris Fashion Week when Kardashian, a renowned reality TV star and entrepreneur, was held at gunpoint in a luxury residence, where robbers made off with millions in jewelry.
The court sentenced seven men and one woman for their various levels of involvement in the crime, handing down prison terms ranging from three to eight years, most of which were suspended. The presiding judge, David De Pas, recognized the leniency of the sentences, taking into account the defendants’ advanced ages and health issues, stating, “You did harm.”
One additional defendant was found guilty of illegal firearm possession but was acquitted of any involvement in the robbery itself.
