The Ukrainian Naval Band has joined the Band of the Scots Guards for a performance at Buckingham Palace to mark Ukraine's independence day. The two bands played in formation at the changing of the guard on Monday, with the Scots Guards wearing their distinctive red tunics and bearskin hats, and the Ukrainian navy dressed in white.
This performance took place just a day after Ukraine's Independence Day, celebrated on August 24, which has gained even more significance since the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022. The UK’s Ministry of Defence shared on social media, We stand by you, Ukraine. Now and always, reaffirming the commitment to support Ukraine during these challenging times.
