Armed with ripe tomatoes, thousands gathered in Spain's Buñol to partake in the annual La Tomatina Festival. This tradition involves throwing tomatoes that are unfit for consumption at each other, culminating in a massive tomato food fight across the streets of the town.

The revelers, often covered in tomato pulp, engage in this vibrant festivity which serves as a reminder of community spirit and fun.

This year, the festival also saw some participants raising Palestinian flags as a gesture of support for Gaza amidst the ongoing crisis.
