In brief

Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her family have released a heartfelt tribute to their son Presley Gerber, who died at age 27. The post, shared on Instagram, honours his kindness and vulnerability, and thanks the public for their support. Authorities are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, while medical examiners say the case remains pending. Presley’s sister Kaia also posted a touching video and letter, reflecting on their shared past and his mental health journey. Multiple support organisations offer help for those affected by mental health struggles.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has expressed that she and her family are “beyond heartbroken” following the death of her son Presley Gerber, who was 27 years old.

Presley was a young model, following in the footsteps of his mother and younger sister Kaia. He made his catwalk debut for Moschino at the age of 16 and often shared his experiences on Instagram under the banner “Mental Health Mondays.”

Crawford’s Instagram tribute highlighted Presley’s sweet, beautiful soul and the pride she felt for how he “showed up in the world with kindness and vulnerability.” She thanked the outpouring of love from supporters, even strangers.

The 27‑year‑old died on 20 September at a California rehab facility. Police investigators are looking into the case as a suspected overdose, while the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has the case listed as pending additional investigation. The Santa Monica Police Department stated that there is no indication of foul play.

Presley’s sister Kaia also posted a heartfelt message that included home‑grown videos and a handwritten letter, recalling childhood moments and reflecting on their bond after his passing.
