President Trump Declares Excellent Health Post Annual Medical Exam
Following his recent medical examination, President Trump is reported to be in "excellent cognitive and physical health," according to his physician.
US President Donald Trump’s health is reportedly in “excellent condition,” as declared by his White House physician following his first annual physical of his second term. Conducted at a medical facility in Washington D.C., the examination included multiple assessments, including blood tests, cardiac screenings, and cognitive evaluations.
Dr. Sean Barbabella, who first reported on Trump’s health, highlighted the president’s active lifestyle, citing his “frequent victories in golf” as a significant contributor to his well-being. The 78-year-old President, who was the oldest to be inaugurated in January, underwent a rigorous five-hour examination, during which he was also found to have “scarring on the right ear from a gunshot wound,” a result of an assassination attempt that occurred last summer.
The memo released to the public emphasised Trump’s strong performance in various health categories including cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological functions. Furthermore, cognitive tests indicated he scored 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), designed to detect early signs of cognitive decline. Trump has since expressed confidence in his mental acuity, claiming he “got every answer right” during the test.
Apart from the injuries from the assassination attempt, minor skin issues were mentioned, along with a history of hypercholesterolemia and a benign colon polyp. The memo revealed that Trump is managed for cholesterol with medications such as Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe, alongside standard cardiac preventive measures. His health review, which also noted he weighs 224 pounds and stands 6 feet 2.5 inches tall, suggests he is overweight but not classified as obese according to BMI standards.
This is the first health report concerning Trump since the assassination attempt, when a gunman grazed his ear during a rally. The medical review comes after a history of public comments from Trump regarding his rival Joe Biden's health, particularly following his performance in last year’s debates, underscoring an ongoing political narrative around age and health in leadership.
