Authorities in Ghana have recently seized a luxury 2019 Lamborghini Urus owned by popular musician Charles Nii Armah, better known as Shatta Wale. The vehicle, valued at $150,000, is reportedly connected to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian currently serving a seven-year sentence in the U.S. for fraud involving a scheme that defrauded numerous organizations. Wale, who denies any connection to Amuah, has publicly criticized the government's approach during the vehicle's recovery, claiming it to be unnecessary and humiliating.

Luxury Car of Ghanaian Musician Shatta Wale Confiscated Amid U.S. Fraud Allegations
A high-profile luxury vehicle owned by Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale has been confiscated due to alleged links to U.S. criminal activities.
Wale alleges he is merely a "third-party owner" and questions the methods employed by the authorities during the retrieval process, where officers were armed. The confiscation is a part of Amuah’s restitution totaling approximately $4.7 million, with plans for the Lamborghini to be returned to the U.S. as part of this process. The Economic and Organised Crime Office (Eoco), which carried out the confiscation, stated the operation was conducted civilly and emphasized the standard safety protocols for their officers.
According to U.S. court records, Amuah and his associates executed a scheme that defrauded nearly 70 entities by posing as vendors and manipulating crucial financial transactions. The seizure of the Lamborghini comes as an additional measure to recover funds for the victims impacted by this fraud.
