In a shocking turn of events, popular Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to the hospital with serious stab injuries following a home invasion. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday in Mumbai, where the actor resides with his family in an affluent neighborhood.

According to reports, Khan was injured during a scuffle with an unidentified assailant who allegedly broke into his home just after midnight. The Mumbai police provided details to BBC Marathi, confirming the nature of the incident and describing it as an attempted burglary.

Khan's team has not offered extensive public comments but indicated that the attack might have been part of a burglary gone wrong. Meanwhile, he has been rushed to Lilavati Hospital in the city, where hospital officials have disclosed that he sustained six stab wounds, two of which are particularly serious and one located near his spine.

Niraj Uttamani, the chief operating officer of the hospital, mentioned that Khan is currently undergoing surgery performed by a skilled team of specialists. In light of the brutality of the attack, the police have initiated an investigation to track down the intruder.

“An unknown person entered the house of the actor. After that, an argument broke out between him and the intruder,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam to the media. The actor's team has requested that fans and the media observe their privacy during this challenging time, urging patience as this remains an ongoing police matter.
