This agreement marks a shift towards a more flexible collaboration, allowing Netflix exclusive first access to proposals developed by the couple's Archewell production company.
With this new deal, Meghan expressed their excitement for inspiring content creation that transcends genres and resonates on a global level, aligning with their shared vision for storytelling. Although specifics regarding the duration and financial terms of this contract remain undisclosed, it follows their earlier deal from 2020, reportedly valued around $100 million.
The announcement arrives just ahead of the eagerly awaited second season of Meghan's lifestyle show, "With Love, Meghan," which is set to debut later this month. Previous viewership data revealed that the initial series was not a top performer on Netflix, garnering only 5.3 million views, while their documentary "Harry & Meghan" managed to attract a larger audience of 23.4 million views at the end of 2022.
Archewell has also teased additional holiday content, inviting viewers into a festive celebration with Meghan in Montecito. The accompanying food and beverage brand, As Ever, features products such as rosé wine and artisanal jams. Additionally, a forthcoming Netflix project titled "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within" will showcase a Ugandan orphanage, highlighting resilience in the face of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, praised Harry and Meghan as influential storytellers, emphasizing the impact their work has had on audiences. The couple’s projects continue to be eagerly awaited in the entertainment sphere, further cementing their presence beyond royal life.
