Yung Filly Faces Reckless Driving Charges Amidserious Allegations in Australia
Controversy surrounds YouTuber Yung Filly as he is charged with reckless driving while on bail for rape allegations in Australia.
YouTuber Yung Filly, born Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is in hot water as reports emerge from Australia regarding multiple legal troubles. At 29 years old, the social media sensation is facing charges of reckless driving following a police accusation that he sped past a speed camera at a perilous 158 km/h (98 mph) on a Perth highway last month. This reckless act allegedly took place while he was already on bail for an alleged sexual assault against a woman at a Perth hotel in September of this year.
Details provided by law enforcement indicate that the reckless driving incident occurred on November 17 in the High Wycombe area of Perth, where the speed limit is a mere 100 km/h. In response to the infraction, Barrientos's vehicle has been impounded. His court appearance to answer the reckless driving charges is scheduled for November 19, during which he will also face several serious charges, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure on or to their neck.
The shocking allegations revolve around an incident in which Barrientos allegedly brought a woman in her 20s back to his hotel room after performing at the nightclub Bar1 in Perth. As he was on tour in Australia, performing his musical acts, these allegations have drastically changed his public image.
Barrientos has gained recognition as a member of the YouTube collective Beta Squad, and he has also made appearances on reputable platforms such as BBC Three and ITV's Soccer Aid, as well as Channel 4's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. The influencer notably won a Mobo Award for best media personality in 2021, highlighting his rise to fame. However, with these legal issues looming over him, the future of his career remains uncertain.
