These fallen soldiers hailed from various regions in Ukraine, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, as reported by Ukraine's coordination center for prisoners of war via Telegram. The center also stated that efforts to identify the deceased soldiers would commence promptly.
This latest repatriation marks yet another instance in a series of body exchanges, with more than 70 previous exchanges having taken place throughout the conflict. The backdrop of this agreement involves accusations from Russia that Ukraine had delayed the collection of these bodies, with Medinsky claiming they were left in refrigerated trucks since Saturday.
